Hello and welcome
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, UK

Hi, we are are a group of motivated and enthusiastic professional artists who live in postcode HP9 (Beaconsfield, Seer Green or Jordans in Bucks, UK) and have the same vision – to engage more with local art-lovers to show what we are up to behind closed doors and invite the public into our practice(s).

The group formed in early 2024 when friends Claire Burke, Jo Hanrahan and Sarah Allen got together and decided there was so much local talent hidden away in home studios, cabins, attic rooms and home workshops (in such a small geographical area) that we should come together to open the artists life up, dispel some of the mystery and welcome people to question, observe, get involved, and learn more about our creative practices.

HP9 ART TRAIL

We are delighted to be running the HP9 Art Trail again on 17-18th May 2025 when nine professional exhibiting artists in HP9 (our postcode area) open their studios for two days inviting the public to pick up an Art Trail map, follow the route and see behind the scenes of local artists ‘doing their thing’.

The event was a huge success last year, with visitors often commenting what a lovely event it had been and that they’d really enjoyed going around meeting artists in situ, seeing their creativity in their own studio spaces and enjoying a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.

There are limited options in our immediate local area for the thriving community of artists to show their work. We usually toil away behind closed doors and can struggle to get our work seen, so an open studio event is a great opportunity to show off the results of our endeavours, and to meet interested people. Last year’s event was really well received and people We have a few new faces this year.

What each artist shows will be different (there are painters – you’ll find figurative, landscape, portrait and nature-inspired work, ceramic artists and a jeweller taking part this year) and most work will be for sale. Many visitors will be creative themselves and looking for inspiration, others will be local folk interested to see what neighbours or friends really get up to in their ‘day job’ and of course we hope some will be looking for the next original artwork to add to their collection, or as a gift for someone’s special birthday.

THANK YOU!!

SEPTEMBER 2024: POP-UP ART EXHIBITION

Our last event which we hope to repeat was a high quality exhibition of art at the Town Hall on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2024. 15 local artists showed their work in the Oak Room upstairs in the heart of Beaconsfield New Town, (a great location with free entry and of course free parking for up to 2 hours directly outside!).

Inaugural ART TRAIL May 2024

Our first collaboration was an independent Art Trail in May 2024, where 9 local artists opened our studios (which in most cases are our homes) to the public. The weather was kind to us and the visitors seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. We hope to repeat it the same time next year – watch this space!

NEWEST ARTIST TO JOIN THE GROUP

2025 sees the addition of abstract artist Marian Hyland and Jeweller Charlotte Hetzel to our group. Both are established local makers and a joy to have on board!
